Your Generous Donations

Donor contributions enable us to rescue neglected, abused or abandoned horses as well as to provide for animals in need when we’re contacted by state or local authorities. We will also take in some horses whose owners can no longer keep them. Our volunteers help to sell donated items at venues, help load or haul donated hay, groom, feed, and muck stalls of rescue horses, haul horses, safe home (foster) horses. Rocky Mountain Horse Rescue will have contributors instead of members. Contributions of any amount will be greatly appreciated and used for the rescue and care of horses.  We also accept donations of horse needs like hay, feed, medications, etc.

There are a number of ways to donate to our cause, please see details below. Any questions, please contact us!

Online / Colorado Gives

Rocky Mountain Horse Rescue is registered with ColoradoGives.org. Since 1975, Community First Foundation (now operating as ColoradoGives) has been helping generous donors and innovative nonprofits come together to improve the quality of life and create positive change in Jefferson County, the Denver metropolitan area and beyond. The ColoradoGives program connects Coloradans to more than 2,900 local nonprofits, providing an easy way to learn about and support these vital organizations online.

Donations to RMHR or any other non-profit can be submitted year round but on the first Tuesday in December, Colorado Gives Day supercharges giving through a $1 Million Incentive Fund made possible by local community members. A portion of the fund goes to each donation through the ColoradoGives platform on that Tuesday. You can donate on Tuesday or schedule your donation in advance.

Some of you just don’t like online systems or putting your credit information on websites. We understand; some of us don’t either! If you’d like to help but don’t want to mess with online systems and shopping then we’re always open to just a plain old paper check. Please print and fill out the Donation Receipt at left and USPS mail it to the rescue.

Kroger Community Rewards

The Kroger Family of Companies is committed to community engagement, positive social impact and charitable giving at the national and local levels. Every community is unique, but our common goal is to partner with the neighborhoods we serve and help the people there live healthier lives.

One of the ways in which we do this is through our Kroger Community Rewards program. This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Shopper’s Card. Click on the image at right to go to the Kroger Community Rewards page and get setup.
